From all of us at Ghost Of The Machine, we would like to thank each and every one of you for your incredible support in 2022. It was a dream year with our first album releasing to an overwhelmingly positive reception, and the live shows being a real treat. We can't wait to go round again!
You can next catch us at the Fusion 4 Launch Event on 2 March and Winter's End on 2 April - head over to our Shows for more information, with more dates to be revealed soon.
We were absolutely honoured to receive placings on so many end of year lists and awards. To be named #2 Unsigned Band in the Prog Magazine readers' poll 2022, our debut year, was a very welcome surprise and we have to say that our fans really turned out for us. We love you, Ghosties!
We also picked up several other end of year accolades, including the Best Epic at Epic Prog Radio in partnership with Epics For All Time with Scissors. Our 17 minute ditty also scored Best Song (and Best Opening Song) from Music In Widescreen, who also chose Scissorgames as their Debut Album of the Year. Mountain was Prog Rock For Beginners + Progphonic Song of the Year (tied in first with our lovely friends The Blackheart Orchestra) and Scissorgames won Album of the Year. Progrock.com's Check It Out awarded us Album Of The Year two weeks in a row - first, the listener's pick, and second the DJ's pick. Prog Explorations Plus listeners voted for us as their Album of the Year - just above Marillion! These were just some of the categories where we topped the list but there were many other nominations and placements of which we are immensely proud, and we are of course extremely grateful to every DJ or writer who nominated us or chose us as their winner, and every reader and listener who lent us their vote.
We're hard at work on a second album right now. The ideas are taking shape and we're excited to start bringing this ambitious vision to life. In the meantime, our bandmates Scott and Charlie have just released the debut single for their studio project Shadows On Mercury, so you can get a fix of new music from their website or Bandcamp page.
All our best
Charlie, Graham, Mark, Stuart, Andy and Scott
